I was in a hurry when I visited Ginza. I used the Hertz NeverLost GPS and looked for the nearest Japanese restaurant. I followed the GPS and it lead me to the La Jolla Village Square mall. The mall looked rather run down and I took it to be a bad sign.

The restaurant itself looked like a typical interior mall place. I was not expecting much. The host was personable and the waitress took reasonable care in taking my order. I ordered the Chirashu (sashimi and sushi rice). I was pleasantly surprised — the fish was quite good. It was very fresh and flavorful — the tuna was especially good. As I re-evaluated the place I noticed that there was a decent sized crowd in the restaurant and many of the people looked like regulars.

Ginza ia not the best sushi bar in the La Jolla but if you are close by it's not bad.
